Elie Wiesel: a survivor of the Holocaust. What was the Holocaust? It is the name given to the Massacre that happened in 1938-44 during WWII. It was the slaughter of millions of Jews, homosexuals, and other people Hitler thought lower than Humans. Wiesel is a survivor and now currently lives in New York. He, while still a child, was transported from Concentration camp to Concentration camp. He survived every one of them. He was separated from his mother and sister. His father was with him until the very end. They traveled together and hung through Dr. Mengele.
